Two more new beers! The first is from the Mayer’s brewery again, this time it’s the Stammhaus Export-Urtyp variety. Immediately I notice hints of cherries with some malt notes and sharpness from the high carbonation. There’s earthy hops in the aftertaste but they aren’t overpowering. Overall it has a really nice balance and better than other Mayer’s types I’ve had.
The next beer is Aecht Schlenkerla Märzen and it’s a rauchbier, which was so wild. It’s actually one of the most unique beers I’ve ever had. It’s a smoked beer and has a strong taste of like …smoky bacon. There’s some sweetness in the background but it’s very different. I was unsure about it at first but I’d definitely get it again just for the uniqueness and flavor.
