The first beer is from the Schimpf brewery and is a Märzen style beer, which I’m normally a big fan of. I’d say this one isn’t quite as sweet as other Märzen brands I’ve tried though. I noticed a few citrus notes while drinking it oddly, this style tends to go towards more of a caramel-ish vibe. I would say it’s relatively light overall, so it’d be easier to drink multiple of these, but I’d only put this one as being “okay”.
The next beer is from the Giesinger brewery and is a Keller-style beer. Immediately I tasted quite a bit of herby hop flavor. It’s not a full pine Christmas tree but it goes towards that spectrum of taste. It does have some mild malt and really good carbonation which makes it more refreshing and balanced. There was a slight bit of sweetness overall which common with Keller-style beers. This one was quite decent if you don’t mind hoppy beers.
