The Unertl Weißbier is a Hefeweizen style brew that pours a dark amber color. It seems like there isn’t much carbonation compared to many other similar Weißbier types I’ve had. I’d also say there’s a slight hint of spiciness, almost in a cardamom flavor way or something. You also have the typical clove and banana tastes of a Hefeweizen. It’s pretty good if you’re into darker beers.
The Schlossbräu Autenried Original is really unique and different. Right away it’s quite sweet with the flavoring of caramel malt, which the label mentions it’s using. There’s nice carbonation and mild grain flavors, but since it’s so sweet I could probably only drink one and be satisfied.
