I've been reading some posts on the Google forums and apparently YouTube updated their website or services around July 7th. Unfortunately this has caused another major error/glitch with my account. This sort of thing happened about a month ago, though this glitch is a bit worse. I'm pondering on some solutions and I think I'll be releasing faster, shorter, simpler videos over the next few weeks to YouTube. That would hopefully allow me to counteract the drop in everything.
I'll also be uploading more to my account over on Blip.tv which you can find here http://blip.tv/AnthonyFazio. It's basically the same stuff at the moment but I may focus more and more on them since I've never had a problem there. They do offer some nice features but it seems harder to get a lot of views so we'll see how that goes.
I know I've also mentioned before about doing a simply drawn full cartoon series akin to 12oz Mouse or something, which was an old Adult Swim show. I don't think people would mind as long as the show itself is funny. Doing that I could also easily make the show lengthier as well, around 10 minutes or so is what I'd probably shoot for.
With all these recent problems with YouTube I can see I should probably diversify a bit more. It's just too bad there aren't more websites that offer you the ability to monetize your videos. Vimeo has a "tip jar" feature you can enable for your videos if you have a Plus or Pro account. It's only $60 a year which isn't bad, but I can't imagine that many people are giving money to creators.
