6/12/2014 – YouTube Monetization

If you’ve been following my blog for the past year or so, you’ll know that I’ve had some difficulties with YouTube. To quickly recap, they incorrectly put a few of my videos into review, which disabled the monetization for them. Well after 9 months, I surprisingly got an email from them a few days ago to start the verification process. Hopefully they’ll reactivate everything after they review the information. That’s part of the reason why I haven’t been making any new parodies or cartoons. They take awhile to create and there’s no point if I can’t monetize them. That was incredibly frustrating when all that happened.

It really isn’t that big of a deal now though. I’ve been focusing on other side things that produce more money and I’ve been far too busy with work. I do plan on making more animations when I have free time… eventually. I just need to focus on bills and dealing with stuff. I’ve still been writing scripts and ideas down in the meantime, that way when I do have the chance to create new parodies I’ll have scripts already prepared. Oh there’s also the possibility of releasing some comics now and then… but we’ll see.

I’m going to switch topics big time because I wanna mention the E3 post I made. I was only around 70% right with my guesses, the rumors that were flying around were mostly false. I’m looking forward to the many games coming out later this year, even though I likely won’t have the time to actually play them. I do wanna play The Last of Us though, especially since I skipped that game last year and I barely know anything about the story. Aside from that there’s also the new Assassin’s Creed, LittleBigPlanet 3, Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, Drive Club, and more. Oh there’s also a new Sonic game that looks pretty neat for the Wii U. He was my childhood hero! I’ve tempered my expectations for that series though just in case it isn’t good. The last Sonic game I really loved was Sonic 4: Episode 2, the co-op mode was sooo much fun.  Sega really just needs to make Sonic Adventure 3 for the fans, I’m not sure why they haven’t. Okay, that’s enough rambling! I’ll try to make another post within a week about a few things.
